The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hjalgrím Kwieciński in the 4th minute of play forced Zagueiros FC's goalkeeper Rógvi Jacobsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ásbjørn Hansen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rógvi Jacobsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Meio Campo's Arnbjørn Jacobsen got a free kick in the 11th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Fríðrikur Hans Rubeksen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zagueiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fríðrikur Hans Rubeksen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hanus Jacobsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atli Højsted having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Pauli Løkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rógvi Jacobsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hjalgrím Kwieciński showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Rógvi Jacobsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ásbjørn Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Ásbjørn Hansen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Olsen, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Hanus Jacobsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 33 in the game by Ásbjørn Hansen from a close distance when the talented Rógvi Jacobsen managed to make a qualified save. Zagueiros FC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Fríðrikur Hans Rubeksen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zagueiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fríðrikur Hans Rubeksen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atli Højsted breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Zagueiros FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Pauli Løkin hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Hanus Jacobsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When René Midjord fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meio Campo's protests and gave René Midjord a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Meio Campo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. René Midjord hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, Zagueiros FC's Christian Olsen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atli Højsted came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zagueiros FC reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hanus Jacobsen to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Hjalgrím Kwieciński shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rógvi Jacobsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atli Højsted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanus Jacobsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 60 minutes of play Meio Campo's René Midjord was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 60th match minute, Meio Campo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René Midjord to maneuver through the defense. Pauli Løkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Fríðrikur Hans Rubeksen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Atli Højsted. That made the score 1-1 in the 69 minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Zagueiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Olsen to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Hanus Jacobsen took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Atli Højsted to make any attempt to save it. After 82 played minutes Zagueiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Nielsen. 85 minutes into the match, Zagueiros FC's Hanus Jacobsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atli Højsted narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Zagueiros FC's zone, Ásbjørn Hansen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rógvi Jacobsen came out of the goal and Ásbjørn Hansen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hjalgrím Kwieciński fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rógvi Jacobsen having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Zagueiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ásbjørn Hansen came free, but Rógvi Jacobsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zagueiros FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
