The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Jens Christian Hansen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hanus Rein hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Vestmanna FS's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Rein came free, but Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vestmanna FS's Herbert Kruse in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 27th match minute, Tíðarskeið was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óli Hans Rubeksen to maneuver through the defense. Jens Rein took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Óli Hans Rubeksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Rein in the 36th minute of play forced Vestmanna FS's goalkeeper Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Færø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Herbert Kruse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vestmanna FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Kruse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jákup Samuelsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herbert Kruse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jákup Samuelsen having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Jens Christian Hansen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tíðarskeið fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Vestmanna FS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tíðarskeið were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herbert Kruse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens Christian Hansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-3 became the score in the 59th minute when Jens Christian Hansen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Tíðarskeið's Jens Rein ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Jens Martin Joensen lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 80 minutes into the match, Tíðarskeið's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Kruse came free, but Jákup Samuelsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brian Færø in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jákup Samuelsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herbert Kruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jákup Samuelsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tíðarskeið's Jákup Samuelsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Færø in the 86th minute of play. Hanus Rein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen having to interfere. Jens Rein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen made a huge save. In the 97th match minute, Tíðarskeið was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óli Hans Rubeksen to maneuver through the defense. Herbert Kruse scored 3-4 in the 100th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jákup Samuelsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
