After having played for 32 minutes, Ion Menendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.D. Belmonte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ion Menendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hitzeder Arratia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliverio Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Menendez in the 34th minute of the match. Herreruela's Oliverio Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Menendez in the 36th minute of play. Navarro Montes might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Czeslaw Raszek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Navarro Montes ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Ion Menendez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oliverio Navarro, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Oliverio Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Menendez in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliverio Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, C.D. Belmonte's Ion Menendez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliverio Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Carballeira charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Carballeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Carballeira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Hitzeder Arratia managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D. Belmonte's supporters rose to their feet, but Hitzeder Arratia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliverio Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ion Menendez struck a weak shot in the 79th minute.
