Gaspar Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Chivu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torcuato March struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Arsenio Gene didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. When Matei Chivu came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Mardy Bum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matei Chivu couldn't finish the play. Matei Chivu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Hernandez having to interfere. Celio Climent missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 27 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gaspar Hernandez right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Asier Mayol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Hernandez came out of the goal and Asier Mayol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Matei Chivu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Barcelona's Gaspar Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Chivu in the 35th minute of play. Isidor Companys came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arsenio Gene could save by the left post. 37 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Hector-Luis Benítez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arsenio Gene narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Mardy Bum booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilabertus Aguado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guilabertus Aguado kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Arsenio Gene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidor Companys in the 64th minute of the match. Torcuato March sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Francis Yeste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mardy Bum's Arsenio Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torcuato March in the 70th minute of play. Hector-Luis Benítez took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsenio Gene. Arsenio Gene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Matei Chivu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 76th playminute. Arsenio Gene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilabertus Aguado, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. FC Barcelona's Gaspar Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Mardy Bum's Arsenio Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidor Companys in the 85th minute of play. Arsenio Gene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilabertus Aguado, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Torcuato March made a precise shot to the right of Arsenio Gene. Mardy Bum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Guilabertus Aguado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Gene having to interfere. Mardy Bum's Arsenio Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidor Companys in the 95th minute of play. Mardy Bum's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
