Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5010, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 6) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valentino Olle took the kick off in the first half of the match. Juan Tobia kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Fermín Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentino Olle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Blanquiazules F.C.! The goalkeeper, Fermín Feliu, was totally fooled by Merens's Sinforoso Lara, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Wilfredo Zubizarreta's late challenge caught a Merens's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Zubizarreta helped the player get up and apologised. Merens's Atilio Acedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Soler in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Blanquiazules F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Guijarro to maneuver through the defense. Valentino Olle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentino Olle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fermín Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sinforoso Lara hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Abril in the 30th minute of play forced Merens's goalkeeper Atilio Acedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Ceandro Barba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fermín Feliu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Merens:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blanquiazules F.C.:s goal. Jakes Candela placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Rafa Soler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilio Acedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Abril, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorato Abril was the one to do the kick off. Fermín Feliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentino Olle in the 57th minute of play. Valentino Olle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Merens getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Baudilio Vadillos hit a great ball. When Rafa Soler came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Blanquiazules F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Soler couldn't finish the play. Eleodoro Rico hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Fermín Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceandro Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Ceandro Barba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Rafael Salazar kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Atilio Acedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Abril, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Merens's goalkeeper Atilio Acedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafa Soler. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Merens fans cheered their team off the field, for while Blanquiazules F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
