Urquizu's supporters rose to their feet, but Favila Quiroga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Titos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edelmiro Titos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cefero Bencoiechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ildefonso Cartagena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Urquizu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Ildefonso Cartagena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the match, Cefero Bencoiechea notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hoz De Anero's Edelmiro Titos. Edelmiro Titos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Hoz De Anero were victorious despite being under pressure from Urquizu for much of the match.
