After a rather tough play, San Andrés de Montoro's Berdaitz Alcantara got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, HG F.c's Alvaro Viqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bautista Domingo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ferran Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot. HG F.c's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferran Rico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bautista Domingo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferran Rico hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaizko Abril was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Garikoitz Carballido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bautista Domingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes of play San Andrés de Montoro's Gaizko Abril was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of HG F.c booed when San Andrés de Montoro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaizko Abril didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garikoitz Carballido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bautista Domingo having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, HG F.c's Garikoitz Carballido nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bautista Domingo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 73rd minute, but Mohamed Helguera got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving HG F.c hanging dry this time. Giro Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Helguera having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tacito Dellasierra got free with Mohamed Helguera in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 minutes, Ferran Rico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HG F.c and the San Andrés de Montoro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes HG F.c got a freekick which was hit by Ferran Rico. After 87 played minutes HG F.c got a freekick which was hit by Garikoitz Carballido. Manolito Escurza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tacito Dellasierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mohamed Helguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manolito Escurza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Helguera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolito Escurza in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, HG F.c could leave the field as winners, despite San Andrés de Montoro having more of the ball for most of the match.
