The referee ignored Torrelameu's protests and gave Anxel Moya a yellow card for diving instead. Marek van Basten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joan Serrano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lordi Jareño hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Apellaniz's Pepito Castaño in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Apellaniz's zone, Tebaldo Rey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek van Basten came out of the goal and Tebaldo Rey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pepito Castaño to strike the kick off in the second half. Senen Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pepito Castaño's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Lordi Jareño hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Torrelameu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Unai Cabada in the 56th minute. After taking down the ball on Torrelameu's corner Unai Cabada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marek van Basten quite easily take care of the ball. In the 57th minute, Joan Serrano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Tebaldo Rey in the 59th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Marek van Basten kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Pepito Castaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Xurxo Domenech managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apellaniz's supporters rose to their feet, but Xurxo Domenech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Senen Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79thth minute of the game Pepito Castaño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torrelameu's Senen Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Apellaniz's Pepito Castaño made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Senen Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xurxo Domenech struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Senen Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apellaniz.
