With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaizka Lama prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Japón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Nueva in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Dante Ledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oselle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monistrolet CD the free kick. Dante Ledo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gaizka Lama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giraldo Contratas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes in the game, Giraldo Contratas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gaizka Lama having to interfere. Mariano Japón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Typhon Quijana in the 26th minute of the match. Mariano Japón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mergildo Valdés in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Marcial Nueva made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Japón. Monistrolet CD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mariano Japón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mergildo Valdés, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Cerilo Varela put in a rough tackle. In the 39th minute, one of Monistrolet CD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monistrolet CD. If Iban Vallejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mergildo Valdés stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Giraldo Contratas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Japón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Typhon Quijana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaizka Lama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brais Perpiñán, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Gaizka Lama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brais Perpiñán in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Typhon Quijana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mariano Japón. The goal made the score 1-4. After some careless play in the Monistrolet CD defense, Mergildo Valdés kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Japón. The Monistrolet CD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Japón should have stopped the shot. Mariano Japón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Nueva in the 71st minute. Marcial Nueva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 74th playminute. 78 minutes into the match, Monistrolet CD's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Ledo came free, but Mariano Japón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Mergildo Valdés shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Japón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Monistrolet CD's Mariano Japón got control of the ball when Marcial Nueva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 85 played minutes Monistrolet CD got a freekick which was hit by Nesto Gómez. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Mariano Japón successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Monistrolet CD booed when Oselle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Typhon Quijana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes in the game, Dante Ledo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mariano Japón having to interfere. Oselle played a much better game than Monistrolet CD and deserved their victory. The Monistrolet CD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
