After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cloyo Cerreri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valverde De Los Arroyos's supporters rose to their feet, but Cloyo Cerreri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romualdo Marin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8thth minute of the game Cloyo Cerreri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazarambroz AFC's Romualdo Marin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Ibanez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Valverde De Los Arroyos's James Nieto. James Nieto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Valverde De Los Arroyos's Yvon Beloki got a free kick in the 14th minute. Romualdo Marin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cloyo Cerreri's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Valverde De Los Arroyos got a freekick which was hit by Arlo Dagora. Ferrando Sans charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferrando Sans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Gudesteo Cabrera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. James Nieto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Mazarambroz AFC's Gudesteo Cabrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. James Nieto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Romualdo Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cloyo Cerreri in the 30th minute of the match. Arlo Dagora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Romualdo Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Valverde De Los Arroyos booed when Mazarambroz AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. García Bouzas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Cloyo Cerreri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arlo Dagora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romualdo Marin having to interfere. Cloyo Cerreri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Romualdo Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Mazarambroz AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yvon Beloki during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Valverde De Los Arroyos got a freekick which was hit by Yvon Beloki. Cloyo Cerreri struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Romualdo Marin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valverde De Los Arroyos. 60 minutes into the game, Arlo Dagora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Romualdo Marin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 68 minutes into the match, Mazarambroz AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cloyo Cerreri came free, but Romualdo Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlo Dagora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romualdo Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlo Dagora in the 72nd minute of play. Arlo Dagora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arlo Dagora came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Valverde De Los Arroyos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlo Dagora couldn't finish the play. If Cloyo Cerreri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Error Baltanas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cloyo Cerreri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Mazarambroz AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cloyo Cerreri came free, but Romualdo Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Arlo Dagora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romualdo Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Mazarambroz AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Valverde De Los Arroyos had held the ball for most of the match.
