Natanael Abellan charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natanael Abellan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Natanael Abellan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The supporters of Valchillon booed when Arroyo Del Ojanco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan-Pablo Esperta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bermudo Perpiñán in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marino Aranzubia saved Valchillon from getting behind. Marino Aranzubia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan-Pablo Esperta went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Valchillon's goal looked a bit too open when Manolito Carrasco came free, but Marino Aranzubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manolito Carrasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toño Turrilla charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Valchillon's Marino Aranzubia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolito Carrasco in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Arroyo Del Ojanco's Juan-Pablo Esperta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marino Aranzubia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manolito Carrasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Marino Aranzubia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Natanael Abellan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfons Salan having to interfere. Alfons Salan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natanael Abellan in the 45th minute of play. Mario Zubiaga kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. If Haimar Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manolito Carrasco made a kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Valchillon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Arroyo Del Ojanco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolito Carrasco in the 80th minute of play forced Valchillon's goalkeeper Marino Aranzubia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manolito Carrasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
