To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paco Estruch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Ricoy in the 61st minute of the match. Racing Club's Erasto Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Josepe Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasto Ortiz was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The Racing Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Azcona CD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
