In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Veguillas UD's goalkeeper Unai Bueno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Onil FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Lastur Tobias hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Russell Phillips got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Unai Bueno managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Onil FC's Russell Phillips fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Veguillas UD's Unai Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Ola in the 19th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Michel Carreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veguillas UD's Unai Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Onil FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nono Carreira hit a great ball. Russell Phillips succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 28th playminute. Unai Bueno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Russell Phillips in the 33rd minute. Ola Ola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazuste Ribas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Russell Phillips could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Unai Bueno made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Ola in the 44th minute of play forced Veguillas UD's goalkeeper Unai Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Onil FC's zone, Berriotxoa Fabelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Vander came out of the goal and Berriotxoa Fabelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Mazuste Ribas made the kick off in the second half. Unai Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Ola in the 55th minute of the match. Russell Phillips sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ola Ola sped through Veguillas UD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Unai Bueno. If Russell Phillips had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Ola in the 64th minute of play forced Veguillas UD's goalkeeper Unai Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Onil FC's Bastian Aranzubia got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th match minute, Onil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nono Carreira to maneuver through the defense. Unai Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Ola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Russell Phillips sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute Ola Ola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Unai Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russell Phillips blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Unai Bueno having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Veguillas UD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Onil FC.
