Migúel Bernal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máximo Astudillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Pallaruelo De Monegros's Máximo Astudillo got control of the ball when Ronaldo Contratas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldo Contratas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Astudillo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pallaruelo De Monegros's zone, Migúel Bernal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Máximo Astudillo came out of the goal and Migúel Bernal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Máximo Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Migúel Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ronaldo Contratas sped through Pallaruelo De Monegros's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Máximo Astudillo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Contratas in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Máximo Astudillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Pallaruelo De Monegros's zone, Migúel Bernal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Máximo Astudillo came out of the goal and Migúel Bernal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Contratas in the 87th minute of play forced Pallaruelo De Monegros's goalkeeper Máximo Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Migúel Bernal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máximo Astudillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Nemesio Goyanes kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Ochanduri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
