Juan-Francisco Casanovas short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Abrahan Roig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 34th minute, Federico España fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abrahan Roig, passed just outside the right post. Abrahan Roig made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Edorta Campomanes sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan-Francisco Casanova to make the kick off.
