The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guter Palomar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gení Ramirez's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Guter Palomar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanco Paris in the 9th minute of play. Gení Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guter Palomar having to interfere. Guter Palomar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gení Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alonso Parra fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Fernando CD's protests and gave Alonso Parra a yellow card for diving instead. Gení Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iyan Amorebieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Madhorse's goalkeeper Timoteo Cartagena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Madhorse's zone, Garikoitz Abajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timoteo Cartagena came out of the goal and Garikoitz Abajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Baldemar Fabelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timoteo Cartagena. Madhorse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldemar Fabelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Garikoitz Abajas struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Timoteo Cartagena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Fernando CD. The supporters of San Fernando CD booed when Madhorse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roi Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Baldemar Fabelo made the kick off in the second half. Baldemar Fabelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Timoteo Cartagena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roi Fernandez hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gení Ramirez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Guter Palomar made a huge save. Garikoitz Abajas took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timoteo Cartagena. Timoteo Cartagena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gení Ramirez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guter Palomar came out and tried to block the shot, but Gení Ramirez slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 78th minute. Lalo Vuelta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guter Palomar having to interfere. San Fernando CD's Guter Palomar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gení Ramirez in the 86th minute of play. If Blanco Paris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Madhorse's Gení Ramirez got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. San Fernando CD's Guter Palomar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanco Paris in the 95th minute of play.
