After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Allande Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Borne's supporters rose to their feet, but Allande Montes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Serra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Breixo Quijana's late challenge caught a Les Masuques's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breixo Quijana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Les Masuques booed when Club Atletico Borne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breixo Quijana didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tulio Serrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Aceves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pancho Diez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Allande Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les Masuques's Dario Serra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Atletico Borne's Cristobal Aceves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pancho Diez in the 15th minute of play. Dario Serra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allande Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Club Atletico Borne's Cristobal Aceves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chayo Valerón in the 22nd minute of play. Egun Cabrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Club Atletico Borne's Dario Serra threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Allande Montes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 30 minutes, Ramone Casals mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Masuques and the Club Atletico Borne players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Serra was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Allande Montes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Allande Montes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After having played for 35 minutes, Egun Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Borne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egun Cabrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Les Masuques's goalkeeper Dario Serra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egun Cabrera. In the 38th minute of the match Jacinto Sirvent sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Serra skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Les Masuques's Valerio Elguero got a free kick in the 39th minute. Sabino Valdivia kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Breixo Quijana got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pancho Diez to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Club Atletico Borne got a freekick which was hit by Iratze Barro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pancho Diez in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Aceves saved Club Atletico Borne from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Egun Cabrera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Serra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 61st minute, Allande Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atletico Borne's Cristobal Aceves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Borne from getting a goal against them. If Pancho Diez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chayo Valerón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cristobal Aceves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egun Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atletico Borne's Cristobal Aceves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Borne from getting a goal against them. Pancho Diez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cristobal Aceves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Les Masuques's goal looked a bit too open when Egun Cabrera came free, but Dario Serra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Chayo Valerón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chayo Valerón struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cristobal Aceves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Les Masuques. For all the effort they put into the match, the Les Masuques players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atletico Borne.
