Mergildo Gimeno's late challenge caught a Avalanch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mergildo Gimeno helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SD EIBAR's Mergildo Gimeno got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mitxel Llorente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nabar Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Policarpio Aizpurua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Vennerberg in the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Rickard Vennerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half SD EIBAR were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tipi Salazar to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Avalanch's Policarpio Aizpurua got control of the ball when Rickard Vennerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernard Leseduarte charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernard Leseduarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Avalanch booed when SD EIBAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bela Domenech didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Tipi Salazar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Policarpio Aizpurua saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Avalanch defense, Rickard Vennerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Policarpio Aizpurua. The Avalanch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Policarpio Aizpurua should have stopped the shot. Rickard Vennerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Tipi Salazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. SD EIBAR's supporters rose to their feet, but Tipi Salazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Policarpio Aizpurua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rickard Vennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Avalanch's goal looked a bit too open when Tipi Salazar came free, but Policarpio Aizpurua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Tipi Salazar sped through Avalanch's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Policarpio Aizpurua. After 84 minutes of play, SD EIBAR's Rickard Vennerberg made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Policarpio Aizpurua was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, SD EIBAR's goal looked a bit too open when Mitxel Llorente came free, but Nabar Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Policarpio Aizpurua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Vennerberg in the 92nd minute. A well placed Tipi Salazar short distance shot in the 93rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Policarpio Aizpurua didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rickard Vennerberg went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. SD EIBAR played a much better game than Avalanch and deserved their victory. The Avalanch players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
