The supporters of Int. pelicas booed when NPM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeruko Gasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Int. pelicas's protests and gave Sol Alcalde a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Int. pelicas's Sol Alcalde got a free kick in the 6th minute. Alano Landa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Alavedra having to interfere. Macario Marrero struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Euloxu Buenafuente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Int. pelicas. Lobo Bermejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Euloxu Buenafuente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Alavedra made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Zeruko Gasso sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rdth minute of the game Macario Marrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NPM's Euloxu Buenafuente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alano Landa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute of the match NPM got a corner. Int. pelicas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godfredo Verges ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led NPM's Alano Landa to fire away a dangerous shot which Celedonio Alavedra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernando Santos got free with Celedonio Alavedra in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Int. pelicas's zone, Alano Landa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Alavedra came out of the goal and Alano Landa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeruko Gasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeruko Gasso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Int. pelicas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sol Alcalde to maneuver through the defense. Lobo Bermejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Euloxu Buenafuente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Euloxu Buenafuente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Macario Marrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aznar Folch came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the NPM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aznar Folch couldn't finish the play. After 77 minutes, Gomesano Solana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Int. pelicas and the NPM players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gomesano Solana hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Godfredo Verges came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the NPM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Verges couldn't finish the play. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over NPM's much stronger midfield.
