Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Iyan Pedraza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 12 played minutes Marquez Pardo rounded SULIMELILLA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 17 played minutes, SULIMELILLA's Misael Elguero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Josue Macías came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SULIMELILLA reached it. After a defensive mix-up in SULIMELILLA's zone, Zuriko Cartagena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iyan Pedraza came out of the goal and Zuriko Cartagena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marquez Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Iyan Pedraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zuriko Cartagena came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Iyan Pedraza could save by the left post. Zuriko Cartagena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iyan Pedraza having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Zuriko Cartagena took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Iyan Pedraza to make any attempt to save it. SULIMELILLA's Iyan Pedraza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquez Pardo in the 38th minute of play. If Zuriko Cartagena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, SULIMELILLA's goal looked a bit too open when Marquez Pardo came free, but Iyan Pedraza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zuriko Cartagena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Iyan Pedraza made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquez Pardo in the 56th minute of play forced SULIMELILLA's goalkeeper Iyan Pedraza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Zuriko Cartagena came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Barakaldo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zuriko Cartagena couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Marquez Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barakaldo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquez Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iyan Pedraza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iyan Pedraza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marquez Pardo went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Marquez Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind SULIMELILLA's goalkeeper Iyan Pedraza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marquez Pardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iyan Pedraza having to make a save. Iyan Pedraza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zuriko Cartagena, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aitor Lagunas during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aitor Lagunas hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Ion Sanz's late challenge caught a SULIMELILLA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Barakaldo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aitor Lagunas to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Barakaldo AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Aitor Lagunas hit a great ball. If Zuriko Cartagena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes of play, Barakaldo AFC's Marquez Pardo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iyan Pedraza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rdth minute of the game Zuriko Cartagena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SULIMELILLA's Iyan Pedraza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 95 played minutes SULIMELILLA got a freekick which was hit by Adrián Losantos. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barakaldo AFC fully deserved thier win.
