Spectators: 7298 (Terracing: 5475, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Eliu Doblas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare's goal looked a bit too open when Jacques Balcells came free, but Anchel Aceves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of El Bojar booed when F.C. Baia Mare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordareo Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ofelio Navarro, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marciano Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anchel Aceves having to interfere. F.C. Baia Mare's Anchel Aceves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacques Balcells in the 14th minute of play. Eliu Doblas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eneas Blanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Eliu Doblas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gelmiro Alfaro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Anchel Aceves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, José Cienfuegos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliu Doblas struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Eneas Blanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Baia Mare. Jacques Balcells recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, El Bojar's Jacques Balcells sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anchel Aceves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eliu Doblas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marciano Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. Eliu Doblas scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eneas Blanco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of El Bojar booed when F.C. Baia Mare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feijo Roman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anchel Aceves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Barbosa in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Eliu Doblas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Baia Mare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliu Doblas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacques Balcells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Anchel Aceves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Marciano Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anchel Aceves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marciano Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to F.C. Baia Mare getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cordareo Fernandez hit a great ball. Anchel Aceves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Barbosa in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, F.C. Baia Mare's Gabino Jurado made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eneas Blanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute, one of El Bojar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Bojar. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for F.C. Baia Mare. Carlomagno Galnares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eneas Blanco. 3-0. F.C. Baia Mare's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
