With a little luck, Lowes's Mero Palomares got control of the ball when Fagondo Flores tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fagondo Flores got free with Mero Palomares in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute Hector-Luis Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Roca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes, Isaias Cortes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Artadi UD and the Lowes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Artadi UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Cortes to maneuver through the defense. Fagondo Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mero Palomares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fagondo Flores in the 23rd minute. In the 48th minute, Machado Aguado made a precise shot to the right of Mero Palomares. Lowes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Huly Arribas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fagondo Flores came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Artadi UD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fagondo Flores couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Artadi UD's zone, César Pais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Roca came out of the goal and César Pais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lowes's attack was well implemented in the 60th minute, but when Hector-Luis Abascal was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Hector-Luis Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ismael Roca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. César Pais's late challenge caught a Artadi UD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César Pais helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lowes getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. César Pais hit a great ball. If Hector-Luis Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Artadi UD's Machado Aguado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mero Palomares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Machado Aguado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaias Cortes got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Artadi UD's Isaias Cortes got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lowes's zone, Fagondo Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mero Palomares came out of the goal and Fagondo Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artadi UD's Ismael Roca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector-Luis Abascal in the 95th minute of play. César Pais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, Artadi UD could leave the field as winners, despite Lowes having more of the ball for most of the match.
