Lolo Vives received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Isidro Verges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lolo Vives in the 40th minute of play forced Mataro Vikings's goalkeeper Isidro Verges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceandro Camacho ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Verges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceandro Camacho in the 63rd minute of play. Soto's Anibal Buendia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Soto from getting a goal against them. If Juan-Luis Cabezas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lolo Vives struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Isidro Verges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soto.
