Favila Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincente Zapater in the 3rd minute of the match. Orlondo Casals fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Favila Valerón having to interfere. United Lions's Cruz Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sindo Marines in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Guadalajara booed when United Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pirro Vazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Polo Unzueta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guadalajara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Polo Unzueta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22 minutes of play, United Lions's Vincente Zapater made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Favila Valerón was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlondo Casals in the 25th minute of play forced Guadalajara's goalkeeper Favila Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guadalajara's Favila Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behe Reyes in the 36th minute of play. Luis Canyelles kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sindo Marines to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guadalajara's zone, Vincente Zapater stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Favila Valerón came out of the goal and Vincente Zapater tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cruz Otero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sindo Marines in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Fortunato Pujol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guadalajara the free kick. A collision led to United Lions getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Fortunato Pujol hit a great ball. Orlondo Casals kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. United Lions's Cruz Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Polo Unzueta in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Guadalajara's goal looked a bit too open when Orlondo Casals came free, but Favila Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincente Zapater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Guadalajara's Favila Valerón got control of the ball when Orlondo Casals tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, United Lions's Vincente Zapater ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Favila Valerón. Favila Valerón yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. United Lions's Vincente Zapater got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Guadalajara's Favila Valerón got control of the ball when Orlondo Casals tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Pirro Vazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Harroyo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 87 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Salvador Sirvent's late challenge caught a Guadalajara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Sirvent helped the player get up and apologised. Salvador Sirvent hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Luis Canyelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Favila Valerón having to interfere. Favila Valerón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincente Zapater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Guadalajara's goalkeeper Favila Valerón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlondo Casals. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. United Lions had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
