Birger Slaghmeulders's late challenge caught a Sant Joan De Moro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 9th minute, one of Sant Joan De Moro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sant Joan De Moro. When Heliodoro Hevia fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sant Joan De Moro's protests and gave Heliodoro Hevia a yellow card for diving instead. Heliodoro Hevia hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Sant Joan De Moro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manolito Rubio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Manolito Rubio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Zeru Viejo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Sant Joan De Moro's zone, Lorencio Quijana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeru Viejo came out of the goal and Lorencio Quijana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manolito Rubio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeru Viejo having to interfere. Sant Joan De Moro's Zeru Viejo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Sant Joan De Moro from getting a goal against them. During the 27th minute of the match Heliodoro Hevia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Heliodoro Hevia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Casatejada booed when Sant Joan De Moro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heliodoro Hevia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Sant Joan De Moro's goalkeeper Zeru Viejo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolito Rubio. In the 60th minute Lorencio Quijana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeru Viejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manolito Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manolito Rubio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
