Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ion Gimeno started the match with the kick off. Apoena Lama's late challenge caught a Correchouso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apoena Lama helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Correchouso booed when Venecia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apoena Lama didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venecia's zone, Idacio Jorquera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Varela came out of the goal and Idacio Jorquera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apoena Lama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damario Cabrera having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calisto Moya in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damario Cabrera saved Correchouso from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Venecia's Urko Ferrer got a free kick in the 15th minute. Hondo Quintero hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The Venecia fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Venecia's Calisto Moya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Venecia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Ion Gimeno scored to the left of an out of position Felipe Varela, making the score, 1-1. Ion Gimeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Felipe Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apoena Lama in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damario Cabrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Correchouso's Damario Cabrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calisto Moya in the 35th minute of play. Apoena Lama's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damario Cabrera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Damario Cabrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calisto Moya, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Calisto Moya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damario Cabrera having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Ion Gimeno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Felipe Varela. The goal made the score 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 55th minute Apoena Lama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damario Cabrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Correchouso getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Santi Revuelta hit a great ball. Apoena Lama might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damario Cabrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apoena Lama ran back to his position shaking his head. Calisto Moya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damario Cabrera made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Calisto Moya sent off a good shot on target. Apoena Lama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualterio Galdamez's late challenge caught a Correchouso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualterio Galdamez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Venecia getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gualterio Galdamez hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Eleodoro Feliu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Varela skillfully saved the ball. Calisto Moya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Damario Cabrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venecia's Apoena Lama got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
