Lastur Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. romero's Prudencio Quintanilla got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, extremadura u.d.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zoilo Cartagena came free, but Nicolás Talavera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. extremadura u.d.'s Nicolás Talavera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoilo Cartagena in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, extremadura u.d.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zoilo Cartagena came free, but Nicolás Talavera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Zoilo Cartagena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but extremadura u.d.'s Nicolás Talavera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eguzki Astudillo's late challenge caught a romero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eguzki Astudillo helped the player get up and apologised. Altzibar Herrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Herodes Menendez hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Quintanilla in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolás Talavera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Prudencio Quintanilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Saura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes, Meder Gil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the romero and the extremadura u.d. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jusepe santillana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Altzibar Herrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for romero. Edur Calatayud stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nicolás Talavera. 0-1. Prudencio Quintanilla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolás Talavera having to make a save. extremadura u.d.'s Nicolás Talavera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoilo Cartagena in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in extremadura u.d.'s zone, Zoilo Cartagena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolás Talavera came out of the goal and Zoilo Cartagena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Altzibar Herrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jusepe santillana came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by extremadura u.d.'s Altzibar Herrero. But to his dismay, Altzibar Herrero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Prudencio Quintanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
