In the 11th minute Julián Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikel Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 12 minutes, Julián Aznar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA COMA C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Julián Aznar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LA COMA C.F.'s Gaizka Lagunas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malvin Garate in the 16th minute of play. Zalduondo were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after LA COMA C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alejo Japón took the corner. The corner ended in Dionisio Urbina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LA COMA C.F.'s Gaizka Lagunas did a great save. Julián Aznar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Efren Velasco sped through Zalduondo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mikel Montiel. Efren Velasco hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. LA COMA C.F.'s Julián Aznar got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Efren Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Efren Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the LA COMA C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efren Velasco couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Julián Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikel Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almarín Aguilo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Efren Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zalduondo's zone, Julián Aznar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikel Montiel came out of the goal and Julián Aznar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efren Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mikel Montiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Efren Velasco was the one to do the kick off. Julián Aznar scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mikel Montiel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efren Velasco in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikel Montiel saved Zalduondo from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Efren Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Julián Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the LA COMA C.F. fans jumped to their feet. LA COMA C.F.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
