When Jerrald Garrido came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Santa Mera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerrald Garrido couldn't finish the play. Nathaniel Coleman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rico Mendez in the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, Nafarroa bizirik's Kiko Ziguenza got control of the ball when Jerrald Garrido tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roldán Izaguirre's late challenge caught a Santa Mera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roldán Izaguirre helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 10 minutes, Santa Mera's Kęstutis Masiliūnas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kiko Ziguenza. Jerrald Garrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Ziguenza having to interfere. Kęstutis Masiliūnas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Santa Mera got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Olmedo. Santa Mera's Alvar Gomar got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Santa Mera's Bernardo Olmedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kiko Ziguenza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ritchie Toxeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kiko Ziguenza came out and tried to block the shot, but Ritchie Toxeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. If Alvar Gomar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerrald Garrido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerrald Garrido in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kiko Ziguenza saved Nafarroa bizirik from getting behind. Alvar Gomar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eufrasio Salan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Santa Mera's Jerrald Garrido nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kiko Ziguenza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. A collision led to Nafarroa bizirik getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Anibal Losada hit a great ball. Ritchie Toxeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jerrald Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute of the match Kęstutis Masiliūnas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kiko Ziguenza skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Jerrald Garrido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiko Ziguenza was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After having played for 82 minutes, Jerrald Garrido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Mera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerrald Garrido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anibal Losada hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute of the match Kęstutis Masiliūnas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kiko Ziguenza skillfully saved the ball.
