Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timo Alfaro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edilberto Sarrate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edilberto Sarrate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timo Alfaro's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Timo Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Timo Alfaro made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Montoliu De Lleida's Edilberto Sarrate tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Landolfo Acarreta got free with Joan Zaplana in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joan Zaplana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Landolfo Acarreta in the 36th minute of the match. Timo Alfaro struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Edilberto Sarrate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Danubio F.C.. Landolfo Acarreta took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joan Zaplana. Joan Zaplana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 44th minute Breixo Morado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joan Zaplana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Timo Alfaro fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Danubio F.C.'s protests and gave Timo Alfaro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montoliu De Lleida booed when Danubio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joan Zaplana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Landolfo Acarreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timo Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute of the match Krzysztof Szpakowski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edilberto Sarrate showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joan Zaplana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breixo Morado, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Eulalio Viejo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Danubio F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eulalio Viejo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danubio F.C.'s Joan Zaplana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Landolfo Acarreta in the 86th minute of play. Timo Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timo Alfaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Edilberto Sarrate when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Joan Zaplana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Paz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timo Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Edilberto Sarrate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danubio F.C. were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Montoliu De Lleida to leave the ground with a draw.
