Rios Otero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 15thth minute of the game Rios Otero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girona FC's Sebastián Benedicto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastián Benedicto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rios Otero in the 17th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Grzegorz Ptaszek made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sebastián Benedicto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rios Otero, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
