Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Sabinar's Aire Barrientos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Claudio Laredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, SJ Tablero's Alonso Murcia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sabinar's zone, Quinito Viqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabino Flores came out of the goal and Quinito Viqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baudilio Rubio took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Vila. Joaquin Vila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 18th minute Quinito Viqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabino Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Quinito Viqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Vila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aire Barrientos in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Paredes in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabino Flores saved Sabinar from getting behind. When Claudio Laredo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Sabinar's Claudio Laredo got a free kick in the 36th minute. Epifanio Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gabino Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Paredes in the 41st minute of play forced Sabinar's goalkeeper Gabino Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quinito Viqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabino Flores having to interfere. Epifanio Paredes struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Gabino Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SJ Tablero.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quinito Viqueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Epifanio Paredes might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabino Flores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Epifanio Paredes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Urtzi Carrasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabino Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinito Viqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Quinito Viqueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabino Flores was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Sabinar's goal looked a bit too open when Quinito Viqueira came free, but Gabino Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gabino Flores was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Epifanio Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
