In the 23rd minute Santiago Baltanas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Garzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. s.d soutelo's Saul Garzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Baltanas in the 24th minute of play. Leon Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes FCSB got a freekick which was hit by Leon Freire. Mero Grau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Santiago Fuster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Fuster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mero Grau in the 31st minute of play. Leon Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Saul Garzon made a huge save. After having played for 36 minutes, Mero Grau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. s.d soutelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mero Grau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zacarías Solano hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes s.d soutelo got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Casta. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Baltanas to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, FCSB's Felipillo Lacorte got a free kick in the 81st minute. Zacarías Solano got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Mero Grau struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Santiago Fuster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for s.d soutelo. The FCSB support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
