The Pulpo de Tierra fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Pulpo de Tierra's Fonso Castillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iratze Ocaña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lalla Mendez in the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pulpo de Tierra's zone, Patxi Albizua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caton Ladra came out of the goal and Patxi Albizua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caton Ladra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Montiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes Pulpo de Tierra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enetz Escurza who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Lucky Pluckers's Patxi Albizua getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 29th minute, Patxi Albizua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lucky Pluckers getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Remigio Montiel hit a great ball. If Remigio Montiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Loramendi Mendez fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pulpo de Tierra's protests and gave Loramendi Mendez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute of the match Enetz Escurza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Caton Ladra skillfully saved the ball. Iratze Ocaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fonso Castillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Fonso Castillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fonso Castillo to make the kick off. Godofredo Casillas tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Iratze Ocaña. Rami Valerón's late challenge caught a Pulpo de Tierra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rami Valerón helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Rami Valerón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fonso Castillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remigio Montiel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caton Ladra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. If Rami Valerón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Pulpo de Tierra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lucky Pluckers throughout the match.
