The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rencio Manzano during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rencio Manzano kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Reinaldo Otero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cordaro Moreira having to make a save. With his leg Ezker Suarez managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Txurialtea's Marin Herrero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. El Ejido's Ezker Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurgain Bastida in the 10th minute of play. Ezker Suarez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Herrero in the 17th minute. With a little luck, El Ejido's Ezker Suarez got control of the ball when Marin Herrero tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Otero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cordaro Moreira was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Reinaldo Otero scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cordaro Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th match minute, Txurialtea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fertus Font to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Otero in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cordaro Moreira saved Txurialtea from getting behind. Marin Herrero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Ezker Suarez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Urbieta in the 33rd minute of play forced Txurialtea's goalkeeper Cordaro Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xuoco Carrasco got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Txurialtea getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Xuoco Carrasco hit a great ball. With his leg Ezker Suarez managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Txurialtea's Rai Fresnos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 44 minutes into the match, El Ejido's Claude Urbieta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 46th minute, Laurgain Bastida had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Alfred Kojder fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Ejido's protests and gave Alfred Kojder a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes El Ejido got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Kojder. After the first half El Ejido were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Otero made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Otero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cordaro Moreira was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinaldo Otero in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cordaro Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 60th minute of the match Fertus Font completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fertus Font a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 61 played minutes Txurialtea got a freekick which was hit by Fertus Font. Marin Herrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ezker Suarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El Ejido's zone, Rencio Manzano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezker Suarez came out of the goal and Rencio Manzano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Marin Herrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Alfred Kojder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cordaro Moreira, 0-2. In the 77th minute, Miguel Morales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Ejido's Ezker Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rencio Manzano in the 84th minute of play. Reinaldo Otero charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Otero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, El Ejido's Reinaldo Otero got a free kick in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Txurialtea's goalkeeper Cordaro Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claude Urbieta. Rai Fresnos struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ezker Suarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Txurialtea. When Rencio Manzano came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Txurialtea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rencio Manzano couldn't finish the play. Rencio Manzano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 played minutes El Ejido got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Kojder. The El Ejido supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El Ejido would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
