In the 5thth minute of the game Zosimo Contratas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benafigos's Sarracino Solana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zosimo Contratas in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sarracino Solana saved Benafigos from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Atletico Euskal's Zosimo Contratas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sarracino Solana. Sarracino Solana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Basilio Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Sarracino Solana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Sarracino Solana managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Atletico Euskal's Zosimo Contratas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 21st minute, Atletico Euskal's Zosimo Contratas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sarracino Solana. Sarracino Solana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Zosimo Contratas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sarracino Solana having to interfere. Basilio Cabrera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Sarracino Solana made a huge save. When Basilio Cabrera came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Atletico Euskal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Cabrera couldn't finish the play. Sarracino Solana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zosimo Contratas's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Sarracino Solana made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Basilio Cabrera sent off a good shot on target. If Ciriaco Ballesteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Zosimo Contratas took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sarracino Solana to make any attempt to save it. Basilio Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Cabreras short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Sarracino Solana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ciriaco Ballesteros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sarracino Solana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Benafigos's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Cabrera came free, but Sarracino Solana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarracino Solana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argi Canturri in the 63rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Atletico Euskal's Zosimo Contratas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sarracino Solana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Sanson Soler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zosimo Contratas in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sarracino Solana saved Benafigos from getting behind. Zosimo Contratas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sarracino Solana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Euskal. After a rather tough play, Benafigos's Sanson Soler got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Sarracino Solana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Cabrera in the 84th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Basilio Cabrera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sarracino Solana was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Zosimo Contratas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sarracino Solana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Atletico Euskal were the better team. Atletico Euskal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
