The supporters of Real Jaén CF SAD booed when DarkStars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joseba España made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Locaio Tobia in the 4th minute of play. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Matias Chano sped through DarkStars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joseba España. After a rather tough play, DarkStars's Emilio Garrido got a free kick in the 12th minute. Joseba España didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Chano went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute Paco Valdivia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseba España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Locaio Tobia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseba España took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harald Ponk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Alfaro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, DarkStars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to DarkStars getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. William Teruel hit a great ball. The Real Jaén CF SAD fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Real Jaén CF SAD's Matias Chano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joseba España showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Chano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Real Jaén CF SAD were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

DarkStars's Joseba España proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save DarkStars from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Chano in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joseba España prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Toro Rallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseba España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, William Teruel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DarkStars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.
