The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pere Vazquez hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cortijo Del Coto AD's Pietro Cordoba got control of the ball when Renan Quaresma tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute Nicodemo Incera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santxo Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho Dobale hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Cortijo Del Coto AD's Pietro Cordoba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Cortijo Del Coto AD from getting a goal against them. If Renan Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cortijo Del Coto AD's zone, Renan Quaresma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pietro Cordoba came out of the goal and Renan Quaresma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Real Sociedad's Santxo Gibert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicodemo Incera in the 30th minute of play. Pietro Cordoba was a little too slow when Paşa Ali Onar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pere Vazquez in the 37th minute of play forced Real Sociedad's goalkeeper Santxo Gibert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renan Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paşa Ali Onar to strike the kick off in the second half. Loreto Gasso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santxo Gibert came out and tried to block the shot, but Loreto Gasso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 53rd minute. Pietro Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Quaresma in the 57th minute of play. Felipe Vicente's late challenge caught a Cortijo Del Coto AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Vicente helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Real Sociedad getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Felipe Vicente hit a great ball. Pietro Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Quaresma, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Renan Quaresma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pietro Cordoba was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. If Paşa Ali Onar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Pere Vazquez took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santxo Gibert. Santxo Gibert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Pietro Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paşa Ali Onar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Real Sociedad were the better team. Real Sociedad's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
