Esteve Alabern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Alabern in the 8th minute of play forced Azpilkueta UD's goalkeeper Angelino Bravo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Bravo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Alabern in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Oliverio Urruti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Carceles's late challenge caught a Azpilkueta UD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonio Carceles helped the player get up and apologised. Marco-Antonio Sampil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jorge Dulce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, U.E. Esplugues de Ll.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zaquiel Torrente fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Angelino Guijarro's late challenge caught a U.E. Esplugues de Ll.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Guijarro helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Azpilkueta UD got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Guijarro. Jorge Dulce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco-Antonio Sampil in the 30th minute of play. Marco-Antonio Sampil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, U.E. Esplugues de Ll.'s Jorge Dulce got control of the ball when Zaquiel Torrente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorge Dulce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco-Antonio Sampil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half U.E. Esplugues de Ll. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteve Alabern stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco-Antonio Sampil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Dulce having to interfere. U.E. Esplugues de Ll.'s Jorge Dulce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaquiel Torrente in the 62nd minute of play. Frutos Cabrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Azpilkueta UD getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Julen Solano hit a great ball. Angelino Bravo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaquiel Torrente in the 81st minute of play forced U.E. Esplugues de Ll.'s goalkeeper Jorge Dulce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Alabern in the 83rd minute of play forced Azpilkueta UD's goalkeeper Angelino Bravo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tebaldo Navas kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 96th minute, when U.E. Esplugues de Ll.'s Adrián Torrente after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Angelino Bravo in Azpilkueta UD's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The U.E. Esplugues de Ll. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
