The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sinforoso Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimo Ribeiro in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Sol Armada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sinforoso Clemente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amuruza Vazquez in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louis Fabelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blasco Verdaguer struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Louis Fabelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altea. In the 16th minute of the match Haitz Iniesta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Louis Fabelo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sinforoso Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimo Ribeiro in the 24th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Altea's Amuruza Vazquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Louis Fabelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Altea's goalkeeper Sinforoso Clemente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Carballido. Amuruza Vazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Amuruza Vazquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Altea were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amuruza Vazquez made a kick off. If Santiago Otero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Amuruza Vazquez came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Altea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amuruza Vazquez couldn't finish the play. Blasco Verdaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis Fabelo having to interfere. Louis Fabelo was a little too slow when Amuruza Vazquez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-3. The supporters of Altea booed when Acula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergi Gabas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Arnaldo Valerón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altea's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Valerón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Louis Fabelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute of the match Haitz Iniesta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Louis Fabelo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Acula's Albano Carballido got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Acula was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekialde Pardo to maneuver through the defense. When Albano Carballido came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Acula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Carballido couldn't finish the play. Teo Prats hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Amuruza Vazquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Louis Fabelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sinforoso Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Carballido, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 86 played minutes, Acula's Sergi Gabas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sinforoso Clemente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Acula reached it. Sol Armada's late challenge caught a Altea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sol Armada helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Altea booed when Acula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sol Armada didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Altea eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
