An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Ricardo Cao got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Benigno Urbina struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Víctor Morera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portela. 30 minutes into the match, Portela's Benigno Urbina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Víctor Morera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benigno Urbina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víctor Morera having to interfere. Víctor Morera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Urbina in the 38th minute of the match. If Ricardo Cao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paco Canyelles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Rojalons AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Lorenzo to maneuver through the defense. Benigno Urbina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Víctor Morera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Portela supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rojalons AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rojalons AFC.
