Marcelino Grau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Oton in the 17th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, C.A.Badajoz's Vintilă Ardeleanu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Grau was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, C.A.Badajoz's Emiliano Burni got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Humberto Oton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelino Grau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Oton in the 27th minute of play. Telesforo Gabas's late challenge caught a C.A.Badajoz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telesforo Gabas helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Aratores UD got a freekick which was hit by Telesforo Gabas. Marcelino Grau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Oton in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Oton in the 34th minute of play forced Aratores UD's goalkeeper Marcelino Grau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Humberto Oton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Grau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Oton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelino Grau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Urbieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Marcelino Grau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özdemir Öktuna in the 42nd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Oton was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Özdemir Öktuna got free with Marcelino Grau in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aratores UD's Marcelino Grau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Aratores UD from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute, C.A.Badajoz's Vintilă Ardeleanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelino Grau. Marcelino Grau yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Aratores UD's Marcelino Grau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Oton in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Oton in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelino Grau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute of the match, Humberto Oton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelino Grau saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Petri Flores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Grau having to interfere. Aratores UD's Marcelino Grau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Oton in the 81st minute of play. With an all-out effort, C.A.Badajoz's Marcelino Grau threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vintilă Ardeleanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Aratores UD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.A.Badajoz were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
