Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5450, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rogério Loyola took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Ecija CF booed when Villanueva De Sigena AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Panțuru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes, Ecija CF's Ray Soto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlo Zárate came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecija CF reached it. In the 9th minute, Rogério Loyola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Cabrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Villanueva De Sigena AD's goal looked a bit too open when Bastia Roman came free, but Carlo Zárate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villanueva De Sigena AD's Aurre Arratia got a free kick in the 15th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Bastia Roman took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Carlo Zárate to make any attempt to save it. Cheche Urruti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Zárate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Carlo Zárate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastia Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecija CF's Bastia Roman got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlo Zárate was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Cheche Urruti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cheche Urruti really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 42nd minute Bastia Roman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Zárate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bastia Roman made the kick off in the second half. Carlo Zárate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheche Urruti in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Villanueva De Sigena AD booed when Ecija CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josias Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Villanueva De Sigena AD's Santi Delgado tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Villanueva De Sigena AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Carreira to maneuver through the defense. Villanueva De Sigena AD's Carlo Zárate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastia Roman in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llorenc Valverde in the 85th minute of play forced Ecija CF's goalkeeper Celso Cabrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Villanueva De Sigena AD's zone, Cheche Urruti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Zárate came out of the goal and Cheche Urruti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Villanueva De Sigena AD's Aurre Arratia got a free kick in the 91st minute. Silviu Panțuru hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecija CF fully deserved thier win.
