In the 4th minute of the match, Franco Aguilar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ovidio Cano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Feliz Mas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosalio Espinosa having to interfere. Franco Aguilar scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidio Cano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolando Cayuela struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Rosalio Espinosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponderoso Polopino CF. 18 minutes into the match, Feliz Mas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of F.C. Rillan's Rosalio Espinosa. Rosalio Espinosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iamín Barrios charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iamín Barrios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iamín Barrios hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes of play, Ponderoso Polopino CF's Feliz Mas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rosalio Espinosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute, Toni Castan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Rillan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of F.C. Rillan booed when Ponderoso Polopino CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caitano Morientes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Ponderoso Polopino CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Titos to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. Rillan's Iamín Barrios slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ovidio Cano. That made the score 3-2 after 33 minutes of play. Feliz Mas struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Rosalio Espinosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponderoso Polopino CF. Enetz Otero hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Ponderoso Polopino CF's goalkeeper Ovidio Cano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Aguilar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iamín Barrios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Chico Ricoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Rillan and the Ponderoso Polopino CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, F.C. Rillan's Rosalio Espinosa got control of the ball when Feliz Mas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Feliz Mas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosalio Espinosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolando Cayuela's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Ovidio Cano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iamín Barrios, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 66 minutes into the match, Franco Aguilar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidio Cano. Ponderoso Polopino CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franco Aguilar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Ponderoso Polopino CF made a substitution. Felipillo Espinosa replaced Gualterio Titos. Ovidio Cano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Abellan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidio Cano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Aguilar in the 74th minute of the match. The Ponderoso Polopino CF fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Ponderoso Polopino CF's Feliz Mas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 78 played minutes Ponderoso Polopino CF got a freekick which was hit by Brais Rojas. Ponderoso Polopino CF made a substitution. Benvide Rienda replaced Enetz Otero. In the 79th match minute, Ponderoso Polopino CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brais Rojas to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Benvide Rienda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ponderoso Polopino CF's Felipillo Espinosa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Iamín Barrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Cano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Ponderoso Polopino CF's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Aguilar came free, but Ovidio Cano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Rosalio Espinosa managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Ponderoso Polopino CF's Feliz Mas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
