Mirca SD's Javier Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Redondo in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, València CF's Xacintu Iglesias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Maldonado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hector Cuadrado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mirca SD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! After 10 minutes, Jon De Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the València CF and the Mirca SD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jon De Silva hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of València CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mirca SD:s goal. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Mirca SD. Santiago Olmedo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Venancio Prieto. 1-1. In the 16th minute, Chan Reyes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xacintu Iglesias succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 19th playminute. After 22 played minutes Mirca SD got a freekick which was hit by Chan Reyes. Javier Maldonado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xacintu Iglesias in the 25th minute. Xacintu Iglesias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Maldonado having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Mirca SD's goalkeeper Javier Maldonado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xacintu Iglesias. Placido Redondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Javier Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, València CF's Calvet Valines got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Placido Redondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Maldonado having to interfere. Xacintu Iglesias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Javier Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Justo in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Maldonado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xacintu Iglesias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Maldonado having to interfere. If Nestor Justo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nestor Justo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 69 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Javier Maldonado was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Chan Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Nestor Justo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nestor Justo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Maldonado having to make a save. In the 80th minute Calvet Valines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacintu Iglesias in the 84th minute of play. Placido Redondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Redondo in the 93rd minute of play forced Mirca SD's goalkeeper Javier Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Redondo in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that València CF were the better team. València CF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
