The supporters of El Palmeral SD booed when Requias UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Amorebieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nofre Puig came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the El Palmeral SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nofre Puig couldn't finish the play. Remigio Soldado kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Kaiet Gonzalez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cisco Gimeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Solustiano Griego charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Solustiano Griego the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Solustiano Griego kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Isidro Amorebieta hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Pablo Sirvent took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Saverio Ledo. Requias UD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 24th minute, Humberto Galdamez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Roig during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Requias UD's Manuel Roig got a free kick in the 29th minute. Cisco Gimeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quilino Vega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cisco Gimeno ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Roig in the 33rd minute of play forced El Palmeral SD's goalkeeper Quilino Vega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, El Palmeral SD's goalkeeper Quilino Vega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cisco Gimeno. If Cisco Gimeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in El Palmeral SD's zone, Cisco Gimeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quilino Vega came out of the goal and Cisco Gimeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quilino Vega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Roig, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Manuel Roig received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quilino Vega came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Roig slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Roig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cisco Gimeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nofre Puig fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Palmeral SD's protests and gave Nofre Puig a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, El Palmeral SD's Nofre Puig got a free kick in the 55th minute. El Palmeral SD's Quilino Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cisco Gimeno in the 56th minute of play. Germán Cardeñosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Saverio Ledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Isidro Amorebieta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Requias UD and the El Palmeral SD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Isidro Amorebieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Germán Cardeñosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. When Requias UD's Cisco Gimeno in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Palmeral SD's goalie prevented a goal. Cisco Gimeno took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quilino Vega. Quilino Vega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Aparicio Sánchez's late challenge caught a Requias UD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aparicio Sánchez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Requias UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaiet Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. Quilino Vega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cisco Gimeno's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Palmeral SD's goalkeeper Quilino Vega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
