With a little luck, JUAN PABLO II's Fridolin Vega got control of the ball when Caton Villafane tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Caton Villafane put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fridolin Vega. 16 minutes into the match, Caton Villafane notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of JUAN PABLO II's Fridolin Vega. Fridolin Vega was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nalo Castelao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fridolin Vega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caton Villafane in the 34th minute. Oliverios Salan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Fridolin Vega skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nalo Castelao hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, JUAN PABLO II's goalkeeper Fridolin Vega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caton Villafane. Ximun Sanz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fridolin Vega firmly grabbed it by the left post. JUAN PABLO II's Fridolin Vega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save JUAN PABLO II from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Aguilar made a kick off. Fridolin Vega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caton Villafane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caton Villafane in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fridolin Vega saved JUAN PABLO II from getting behind. In the 73rdth minute of the game Caton Villafane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JUAN PABLO II's Fridolin Vega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute Oliverios Salan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fridolin Vega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. JUAN PABLO II's Fridolin Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caton Villafane in the 76th minute of play. Alvaro Aguilar hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, C.D.Socarral's Nalo Castelao got a free kick in the 86th minute. C.D.Socarral's Ximun Sanz got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in JUAN PABLO II's zone, Jerrald Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fridolin Vega came out of the goal and Jerrald Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JUAN PABLO II's Alvaro Aguilar got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute Caton Villafane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fridolin Vega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the C.D.Socarral players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
