Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Giraldo Helguera started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Chico Belalcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miro Rapado in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute Miro Rapado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Belalcaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Benet Ponte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Chico Belalcaraz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Miro Rapado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chico Belalcaraz. That made the score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. After some careless play in the Canovelles defense, Benet Ponte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico Belalcaraz. The Canovelles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Belalcaraz should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Canovelles's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Rapado came free, but Chico Belalcaraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canovelles's Chico Belalcaraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miro Rapado in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Canovelles's zone, Miro Rapado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Belalcaraz came out of the goal and Miro Rapado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Miro Rapado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Belalcaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chico Belalcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miro Rapado in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Canteras getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Felix Navarro hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Giraldo Helguera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kelemen Pantoja. Canteras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giraldo Helguera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benet Ponte got free with Chico Belalcaraz in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benet Ponte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Chico Belalcaraz made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miro Rapado made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Toni Patiño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canovelles and the Canteras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Canovelles's Toni Patiño got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Canovelles's zone, Miro Rapado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Belalcaraz came out of the goal and Miro Rapado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benet Ponte in the 60th minute of play forced Canovelles's goalkeeper Chico Belalcaraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Miro Rapado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Belalcaraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benet Ponte in the 64th minute of the match. Giraldo Helguera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelemen Pantoja having to interfere. Miro Rapado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chico Belalcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benet Ponte in the 90th minute of play. Chico Belalcaraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benet Ponte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
