Eustaquio Gonzalez's late challenge caught a FC Hospitalet del Infant's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustaquio Gonzalez helped the player get up and apologised. Eustaquio Gonzalez hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Quintana in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matia Bodelon saved A Queimada from getting behind. Matia Bodelon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordarell Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matia Bodelon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in A Queimada's zone, Dorival Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matia Bodelon came out of the goal and Dorival Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Josete Navas fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A Queimada's protests and gave Josete Navas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to A Queimada getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Josete Navas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hospitalet del Infant's zone, Petri Talavera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Koldo Aranzubia came out of the goal and Petri Talavera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cordarell Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matia Bodelon having to interfere. Koldo Aranzubia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Redondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. FC Hospitalet del Infant's Koldo Aranzubia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Redondo in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Quintana in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matia Bodelon saved A Queimada from getting behind. Julio Quintana struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Matia Bodelon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hospitalet del Infant. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julio Quintana made a kick off. Reynaldo Redondo took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Koldo Aranzubia. Koldo Aranzubia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Koldo Aranzubia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Redondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Matia Bodelon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Quintana in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Chepe Dean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koldo Aranzubia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes FC Hospitalet del Infant got a freekick which was hit by Julio Quintana. 74 minutes into the match, A Queimada's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Quintana came free, but Matia Bodelon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind A Queimada's goalkeeper Matia Bodelon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Koldo Aranzubia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Redondo in the 81st minute of play. Matia Bodelon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Quintana went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Matia Bodelon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorival Meira scored 3-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matia Bodelon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The FC Hospitalet del Infant players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
