An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotero Elguero in the 3rd minute of play forced sporting montiniano--fdc's goalkeeper Ganix Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, sporting montiniano--fdc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Herrera to maneuver through the defense. Casildo Fresnos missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 10 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ganix Alcalde right hand side. Tomi Camino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gorri Soto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in sporting montiniano--fdc's zone, Loreto Durango stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ganix Alcalde came out of the goal and Loreto Durango tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, sporting montiniano--fdc's goal looked a bit too open when Sotero Elguero came free, but Ganix Alcalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gorri Soto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tano Perez in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loreto Durango in the 35th minute of play forced sporting montiniano--fdc's goalkeeper Ganix Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to sporting montiniano--fdc getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Clodoveo Martínez hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, sporting montiniano--fdc's goal looked a bit too open when Sotero Elguero came free, but Ganix Alcalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotero Elguero in the 38th minute of play forced sporting montiniano--fdc's goalkeeper Ganix Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the sporting montiniano--fdc defense, Loreto Durango kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ganix Alcalde. The sporting montiniano--fdc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ganix Alcalde should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loreto Durango stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gorri Soto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomi Camino, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Tano Perez struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gorri Soto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sporting montiniano--fdc. Loreto Durango recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gorri Soto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomi Camino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to sporting montiniano--fdc getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tirso Carballeira hit a great ball. La Canya FC's Gorri Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tano Perez in the 76th minute of play. With 80 minutes on the clock, Demetrio Herrera commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ganix Alcalde had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Casildo Fresnos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by sporting montiniano--fdc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Casildo Fresnos was slow to take the kick. During this time La Canya FC's players had a chance to rest. When Casildo Fresnos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the La Canya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casildo Fresnos couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the game, Tauro Navas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Canya FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave sporting montiniano--fdc the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Canya FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
